Accountant

This role primarily involves property fund operations and reporting across the Centuria Property Funds.

 

• Month end processing (journals and balance sheet reconciliation) and preparation of monthly/quarterly management report packs
• Preparation of tax calculations (monthly/quarterly GST, tax distribution and tax returns)
• Prepare commentary for variance against budget/forecast
• Maintenance of actual figures in fund cash flow and forecast model
• Preparation and monitoring of fund expense budget
• Preparation of deliverables for financial reporting as required (particularly half year and year end statutory reporting)
• Treasury: Maintenance of debt/interest summary and preparation of covenant reporting (half year and year end)
• Prepare distribution inputs and calculations
• Working with auditors for the half year and year end audits

The ideal candidate will be an Accountant that is CA qualified with commercial, corporate or property fund experience. Big 4 experience prior to commercial roles and experience in property and funds management will be well regarded.

The ideal candidate will also be/have:

• System experience (OneSource Accounts Production for financial statements, MRI property management system)
• Experience with real estate/property funds
• Australian trust accounting experience
• Team player, exhibits flexibility for different tasks and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and utilise a level of initiative
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise
• A high attention to detail
• Strong excel and analytical skills
• High outcome orientation and drive
• Good communication, interpersonal and self-management skills
