Accounts Payable Specialist

This position reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor. This position is responsible for assisting the accounting team with a variety of tasks. Interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, planning and organizational skills are required. Position requires an above average level of accuracy, quantity and proficiency of work in a busy atmosphere. Ability to work on your own, develop, and be a self-starter. 

• Verify accuracy of invoices and other documents
• Knowledge of OCR program is a plus
• Answer all vendor inquiries
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Investigate and correct quantity and pricing issues
• Provide administrative support to the accounting department
• General knowledge of accounting software
  • Full cycle A/P
  • Vouchering
  •  GL Coding
  • Data Entry
• Sort/File/Prioritize documents
• High level of communication
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and emailing tools in Microsoft Outlook
• General understanding of inventory/purchase orders/bill of ladings
• Other job duties assigned

• 1 to 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable environment
• Strong understanding of Microsoft applications
• Accounting or Finance degree desire
• Experience with working in the US clients is desirable
• Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Demonstrate commitment in upholding core values and behavioral standards
• Excellent customer service, problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong command of the English language, both oral and written
• Training will on the night shift but will transfer to a Dayshift schedule once done with the
  training.
