Bank Reconciliation Specialist

The Bank Reconciliation Specialist will be working within a high performing and supportive team environment to provide accurate, timely and efficient bank reconciliation services to the organization. Initially very manual, there are a number of projects in the pipeline (system and process improvements) which we expect will permit the role to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Bank reconciliation services 17 bank accounts for 60 veterinary clinics
  • Download bank statements from online banking portal
  • Download cash book data from clinic system
  • In excel match cash book and bank statement data using advanced formulas
  • Identify cash book errors for correction
  • Investigate and resolve cash book errors
  • Identify unmatched transactions from bank statement that require entry into clinic system
  • Communicate unmatched transactions to clinic admin staff for them to identify and enter into the finance system
  • Clearing unmatched transactions once clinic admin staff have entered them into the clinic system
  • Re-importing cash book data into excel and finalize the matching to bank statement process
  • Import matched data into Pronto ERP
  • Perform bank rec function in Pronto ERP (tick off matched items to produce a bank reconciliation report

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accounting or related course
  • At least 3 to 4 years of related work experience in Bank Reconciliation or Accounts Receivable
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Provide prompt and professional client service at all times
  • Formal accounting qualification
  • Pronto ERP experience desirable but not essential
  • General Accounting experience is highly advantageous but not a strict requirement
  • Confident in coordinating with clients via email and phone calls
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and is able to provide feedback to improve processes
  • Amenable to work in BGC on a day shift schedule
