Claims Team Lead

The Team Lead position will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing their assigned portfolio's operations and fiscal health (s). This position is also responsible for overseeing and driving the success of their assigned teams. The Billing Team Lead will report directly to the Manager of Billing. Payers include but are not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, and commercial health insurance carriers.  

Responsibilities

  • Accomplish department objectives by effectively supervising staff; planning and evaluating team activities
  • Ensures a safe, secure, productive, and legal work environment
  • Develops, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information
  • Defines objectives, identifies and evaluates trends and options, drive the course of action, and evaluate outcomes
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems, and recommending workflow improvements
  • Help develop staff Weekly/Monthly/Annual coaching and review for all team members
  • Develops personal and professional growth opportunities for all team members
  • Drives result through communicating expectations to all staff
  • Growing and training direct reports
  • Non-traditional duties such as training, projects, etc.…

Qualifications

5+ Years of Experience in Revenue Cycle Management and Certification Billing/Coding.

  • High School Diploma required Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Commercial and Government Insurance plans, eligibility, and expert understanding of medical billing-Preferred
  • Understanding and adherence to HIPAA and PHI guidelines
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, UB, HCFA, and 837 terminologies-Preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Previous experience in coaching and career development skills
  • Detail-oriented, excellent problem solving, analyzing information and research skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Google Suite (Google Drive, Sheets, etc.…)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL-Preferred
