Supporting the team, working autonomously with minimal supervision, responsibilities include proactively managing audit services and administrative workflow requirement of the team on a daily basis

Responsibilities

Admin:

  • Preparing audit engagement letters
  • Coordinating the bank confirmations process
  • Roll forward of Caseware audit files and back ups
  • Importing trial balance and engagement file preparation
  • Preparing draft Audit tenders to Director review level
  • Preparing meeting minutes and agendas and coordinating follow-up

Audit:

  • Assist with in-house and pro-bono audit engagements
  • Assist with audit of a major client with 70 sub-entities from late July to Oct - file
  • preparation, import of data and perform audit work
  • Debtor balance confirmation
  • Preparing audit memorandums
  • Preparing final outcomes reports (populating issues and information)
  • Data Analytics assistance
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Review files

Qualifications

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor's / College Degree in Finance / Accountancy / Banking or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Related to the role
  • Meticulous and has strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to work flexibly and demonstrate a willingness to respond to changing work requirements and peak periods
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management
  • High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy; team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; hands-on and detail-oriented
  • Must be a perfectionist by nature, with no tolerance for financial sloppiness; highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures
