A DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer is expected to manage and architect the environment that underpins our e-commerce platform. Though focused on Linux systems administration, this individual will be a member of our technology team with a broad exposure to a range of technologies with a view to architect the platform of tomorrow. Majority of the projects will initially focus on scaling infrastructure, security, performance tuning, and automating daily administrative tasks.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in systems and/or software engineering and the SRE and DevOps paradigms
- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure within a hybrid environment with high availability requirements.
- Experience in with cloud-based infrastructure like AWS or Azure is preferred.
- Experience working in virtualized environments, such as VMWare
- Linux/Unix/BSD background (preferably Centos/RHEL)
- Experience using continuous integration tools (Gitlab, Git workflows, Jenkins)
- Nginx, HAProxy, Varnish
- Expertise with Puppet development and deployment
- Develop software and system solutions, utilizing several technologies (Python, PHP, Java, C++, Ruby, SQL, Memcached, Redis, SOLR, Elasticsearch (ELK), Graphite, StatsD).
- Active Directory, Group Policy and general corporate systems administration a plus
- Expertise in performance testing tools and SRE best practices
- Ability to multitask and analyze failures and identify root causes in conjunction with engineers.
- Contribute to the agile and test-driven engineering culture with creative problem solving and can-do attitude.
