Employee Relations Consultant

Guides Diversify clients, Client Services Supervisors and Team Leads regarding employee concerns and facilitates processing of employee disciplinary cases. Provide guidance and recommendation to Client Services Supervisors and Team Leads for employee concerns. Handle employee grievances and conflict resolution to foster a productive and harmonious working environment which is free from intimidation and harassment. Consult with People and Culture Manager on recommendations on employee disciplinary cases and termination of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that policies and procedures are in compliance with the Philippine Labor Code
  • Remains to be up to date with the current trends and jurisprudence on local labor laws
  • Recommend policy changes to make the Company Employee Handbook relevant to the current state of the business.
  • Discusses details with clients in resolving employee cases while keeping in mind the operational requirements and overall business conditions.
  • Informs clients of the inherent risk of each case to enable them to make informed decisions
  • Schedule or coordinate the details of grievance hearings or other meetings.
  • Attends / conducts clients meetings to help them understand the labor laws in the Philippines
  • Tracks and monitors all cases in a timely manner for easy and accurate report generation
  • Ensure documentary requirements are complete in each employee case
  • Ensure that case documentation is compliant with the legal standards to de-risk the company and avoid any legal exposure
  • Communicates clearly the company’s decision on issues / cases to the clients and employees involved
  • Provide assistance and guidance to Client Services Supervisors and Team Leads in handling employee concerns
  • Analyze trends in disciplinary cases and recommends plans and programs to address them.
  • Conducts Exit Interview to employees

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of labor laws and practices
  • Skilled in facilitating Administrative Hearings
  • Has basic understanding and usage of legal jargon
  • Working knowledge of Labor Code and employment best practices in a BPO setup an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
