Financial Accounting Manager

The role has shared responsibility for the operational and technical lead of the Property Financial Accounting team.

The role will report to Senior Finance Manager, Shared Services. This role ensures consistent management of key tasks and functions for Property Financial Accountings for the client’s Asset Mgmt.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and mentor team of 6FTE’s within the Manila office
  • Property Financial Accounting responsibilities across more than 350 assets with strategy for additional growth
  • Overview of monthly accruals processing with specified time window; Income, Expenses and Outgoings
  • Aid Property Managers as a business partner for monthly P&L Variance
  • Drive completion of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation as well as distribution of Reporting Packs
  • Drive reporting improvements whilst partnering with Key Stakeholders; Application Management team, Asset Portfolio Managers, Property Funds Finance, Property Transactional Accounting teams (Bank Rec, AP, AR)
  • Property Financial Accounting SME with active participation with numerous Projects and Initiatives
  • Drive quality and timely delivery of reporting for institutional and high net worth investors
  • Contribute as key SME (Subject Matter Expert) during outgoings audit, annual budgets and audits

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Finance Management role
  • Ideally a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Good communication, interpersonal and self-management skills
  • Strong IFRS statutory reporting experience
  • Experience in Australian tax is highly preferred
  • System experience (OneSource Accounts Production for financial statements, OneSource Trusts for income tax calculations, MRI property management system) is an advantage
  • Must be a Team leader, exhibits flexibility for different tasks and willingness to learn
  • Ability to manage the work load and requirements of a team of accountants to deliver outcomes in a timely manner
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise
  • A high attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Strong excel and analytical skills
  • High outcome orientation and drive
  • Must be willing to work in an early morning shift, following the Australian and New Zealand Timezone
