QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using modern front-end technologies (React, Webpack)
- Experience developing and running services in a micro-services architecture using one or more of (Node.JS, Go, Rust, Java, Kotlin).
- Experience using a strongly typed language (TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, etc.)
- Experience testing front-end and back-end applications using a mix of unit, functional, and integration tests.
- Basic knowledge of engineering practice fundamentals such as TDD, DDD, OOP/FP etc.
- Some exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure with an interest in developing this skill further.(Bonus points if they have used Infrastructure as code tools before - Terraform, Cloud-formation, etc.)
- Some exposure to building or at least tweaking automated CI/CD pipelines.
- A quality mindset with experience troubleshooting and debugging application performance.
- Basic understanding of security concerns across front-end and back-end application development (they should be able to explain something like Cross Origin Resource Sharin quite thoroughly)
- Basic understanding of network transport and protocols including how they can be authenticated / authorised.
- Experience with team oriented engineering practices (Code reviews, Pairing, testing ping pong etc.)
