General Accountant (Accounting Clerk) - Night Shift

This role will play an important part within the accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, initiative, and a results-oriented mind-set. The individual in this position will have responsibilities for accounts receivables and/or accounts payable. The position will report to an Accounting Associate based in Raleigh, North Carolina USA.

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivables

  • Apply payments to customer accounts, reconcile received payments against accounts, and note any discrepancies.
  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payment, overpayment, and other irregularities.
  • Identify accounts that are near or past due and communicate exceptions to management.
  • Investigate past due accounts receivables balances and determine next steps.
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Process accounting related Jira tickets in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the review of AR aging reports.

Accounts Payables

  • Process vendor invoices in Concur and ensure they are properly coded and routed for approval.
  • Ensure invoices related to month-end are entered prior to close per closing schedule (including ACH AP invoices).

Travel & Entertainment Expenses

  • Receive employee expense reports for completeness and accuracy.

Credit

  • Help process reference checks of all credit applications and report findings to management.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree in Accounting is required; Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and (GAAP) is an advantage.
  • Proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets summarizing aging/past due accounts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Great organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Experience with NetSuite and Concur is an advantage.
  • Schedule will be for night shift from Monday – Friday, 9PM – 6AM
  • Must be amenable to work in BGC, Taguig.
