Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer is responsible for coordinating with stakeholders to complete a course project and follow all product elements through to completion. Working with learning design, technology, academic, and creative teams, the role will help bring courses to life by collecting, reviewing, implementing, and testing our course products. As an important collaborator in the product development cycle, this role will also work with a team focused on learner success and a culture of cross-functional support and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Review course blueprints and identify technology needs and creative content integration
  • Collaborate with stakeholders through each stage of the production cycle to ensure resources and deliverables align with a specified milestone goal
  • Review course components and creative deliverables, and compare to original blueprints for verification
  • Populate module templates into our branded, downloadable flat files for ADA compliance and offline use
  • Leverage NXU’s course guide to set up course shells in our Learning Management
  • System, and configure all key course components per specifications
  • Identify and communicate where revision is needed on course components based on migration and integration feedback
  • Test integration of course components from faculty and learner perspectives
  • Release course sections from parent course shells based on enrollment figures
  • Alert Director to any concerns in the process, product, or resources
  • Communicate with candor and be a central voice in a culture of support, positivity, and accountability

Qualifications

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s is a plus
  • Must possess at least three (3) years’ work experience in instructional design or course development, with an emphasis on course technologies or in the related field
  • Proven experience working within multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Proven experience working with course authoring tools, such as Articulate, Captivate, etc.
  • Passion for using technology to enhance an educational experience
  • Attention to detail to ensure that all phases of production are met within the specifications and parameters initially outlined
  • A strong collaborator, capable of working with diverse individuals and teams, often with competing organizational priorities
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a part of a team-based culture on a social mission
  • Must be willing to work in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, graveyard shift from 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
