IP Network Engineer

The role of the IP Network Engineer is to plan, implement and manage network services and related infrastructure. You will develop low level designs for network upgrades, develop and implement policies and procedures for capacity and performance management, provide technical support as well as mentor other Engineers in the team in your area of expertise. You will also work on performance analysis, recurring system maintenance, systems troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • New technology, product evaluation, POC testing & development projects
  • Configuration and management of IP/MPLS core including BGP optimization
  • Configuration and management of edge network (BNG/LNS)
  • Tier 3 network and services support for Operations
  • Capacity management and upgrade program management for national/international network
  • Development and use of Network Management tools
  • Any other task/duty as directed by client/management

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Telecom/Computer Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent
  • At least five (4) years of professional experience in systems and network administration; background with Telco/ISP environment is preferred
  • Experience with Cisco IOS-XR & JUNOS software is required
  • Juniper and or Cisco certifications (JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE/CCNA/CCNP/CCIE) is an advantage
  • Experience with BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, Segment Routing, QinQ & QoS
  • Practical knowledge of DNS, Radius, TACACS and DHCP
  • Solid understanding of OSI layer 2-7 with strong troubleshooting experience in layer 2-4
  • Experience with network technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools
  • Experience with Juniper MX Routers is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of hypervisors, virtualization & NFV technologies is a plus
  • Highly analytical, systematic and works with highest degree of integrity
  • Proven ability to communicate in English, both written and oral
  • Has very good organization and problem-solving skills
  • Must be flexible, team-oriented and service driven
  • Innovative, resourceful and has a passion for learning
  • Must be dynamic, a good problem solver, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • A commitment to client service and a flexible can-do attitude to respond to client and business needs
  • Must be willing to work in Taguig City in an early morning shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
